The inaugural meeting of the HFFA took place in February 2009 over a three-day period in Davos, Switzerland. The purpose of the meeting was to assess current and future world needs and to provide a road map for effective ways to eradicate undernutrition and world food security. Topics discussed included the perceived conflict between food and bio-energy.
