Das Wissen um unsere Verg\u00e4nglichkeit ist ein Antrieb f\u00fcr Kunst, Kultur und Wissenschaft und konfrontiert uns mit existenziellen, individuellen und globalen Fragen. Was ist ein guter Tod? Was wird bleiben von uns? Mit diesen Fragen und einem filmischen Prolog \u00fcber die Rolle des Homo Sapiens im Universum startete der Rundgang durch die <strong>Ausstellung<\/strong>. Das Besondere: Installationen und Raumerlebnisse machten das Thema multimedial und interaktiv erfahrbar. Stimmen unterschiedlicher Glaubensgemeinschaften erz\u00e4hlten \u00fcber ihre Vorstellungen vom Jenseits und in einer Videokonferenz teilten Sterbebegleiter*innen aus zw\u00f6lf L\u00e4ndern ihre Erfahrungen. Eine Audio-Lichterz\u00e4hlung vermittelte aus naturwissenschaftlich-medizinischer Perspektive, was beim Sterben geschieht. Die Ausstellung erm\u00f6glichte Einblicke in besondere Traditionen des Umgangs mit K\u00f6rpern Verstorbener und in eine islamische Leichenwaschung. Und sie stellte Fragen: Wie (un)gleich sind die Lebens- und Sterbebedingungen weltweit? Welche Verantwortung haben wir f\u00fcr den Tod anderer Menschen? Und droht im Zuge des gegenw\u00e4rtigen Artensterbens gar die Selbstausl\u00f6schung unserer Spezies?<\/p>\n<p>Zur Ausstellung erschien eine <a href=\"https:\/\/www.humboldtforum.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/117-Leben-mit-dem-Tod_04LP_E.0-DE_RZ.pdf\">kostenlose Brosch\u00fcre<\/a> mit Hintergrundinformationen zu den jeweiligen Akten und Szenen und Querverweise zur Publikation.<\/p>\n<p>Mit der Frage <em>Wie leben wir mit dem Tod?<\/em> betrachteten regelm\u00e4\u00dfige <strong>F\u00fchrungen und Workshops<\/strong> f\u00fcr Erwachsene und Sch\u00fcler*innen ab der 7. Klasse die Ausstellung. Die szenisch gestalteten R\u00e4ume wurden gemeinsam entdeckt und hinterfragt. Die Workshops wurden in Kooperation mit der Bj\u00f6rn Schulz Stiftung erarbeitet, die lebensverk\u00fcrzend erkrankte Kinder und deren Familien professionell begleitet. In der Sprechstunde kamen Besucher*innen mit einem Sterbebegleiter, einer Pathologin, einer Polizistin oder einer Trauerrednerin ins direkte Gespr\u00e4ch und in der Filmnacht mit Filmemacher*innen und Wissenschaftler*innen. Trost durch Musik erm\u00f6glichte ein Konzert des Resident Music Collective am Osterwochenende. Es gab Erz\u00e4hlungen \u00fcber den Tod f\u00fcr Erwachsene und Bilderbuchkino f\u00fcr Kinder. Als H\u00f6hepunkt des Veranstaltungsprogramms fand zum ersten Mal das Mexikanische Totenfest im Humboldt Forum statt \u2013 mit Musik, Performance, Familienprogramm und einem bunt geschm\u00fcckten Altar.<\/p>\n<p>Das <strong>Begleitbuch<\/strong> vereint unterschiedliche Perspektiven auf das Thema in Essays, Interviews, Fotografien und pers\u00f6nlichen Erfahrungsberichten. Mit Beitr\u00e4gen von und Interviews mit: Cristina Cattaneo, Stephen Cave, Dipesh Chakrabarty, Jens Dreier, Matthias Glaubrecht, Liv Nilsson Stutz, Julia Samuel, Helaine Selin &amp; Robert M. Rakoff, Robin Wall Kimmerer und vielen anderen.
