An diesem Abend geben Vertreter*innen aller vier Nationen Einblicke in ihre Geschichte, ihre kulturellen Traditionen und ihr heutiges Leben \u2013 erz\u00e4hlt in pers\u00f6nlichen Berichten, begleitet von Musik und gemeinsamen Gespr\u00e4chen.<\/p>\n<p>Die Blackfoot leben in den Pr\u00e4riegebieten des heutigen Montana (USA) sowie in Alberta und Saskatchewan (Kanada). Ihre Sprache, spirituellen Vorstellungen und kulturellen Praktiken wurden \u00fcber Generationen weitergegeben \u2013 trotz tiefgreifender historischer Umbr\u00fcche. Der Abend er\u00f6ffnet die Gelegenheit, sich mit diesen Erfahrungen auseinanderzusetzen und zugleich Einblicke in aktuelle Projekte kultureller St\u00e4rkung und Wissensweitergabe zu erhalten.<\/p>\n<p>Im Mittelpunkt stehen der Austausch und das Gespr\u00e4ch \u2013 \u00fcber Geschichte, Erinnerung und die Bedeutung kultureller Selbstbestimmung heute. Als ehemaliger Professor am Blackfeet Community College und Mitglied des Tribal Council hat Murray zentrale Initiativen zur Bewahrung heiliger St\u00e4tten wie Badger-Two Medicine angef\u00fchrt und sich f\u00fcr die Wiederbelebung traditionellen Wissens durch Bildung und Zeremonien eingesetzt. Er ist ein spiritueller \u00c4ltester, Tr\u00e4ger eines Zeremonialb\u00fcndels und ein engagierter F\u00fcrsprecher f\u00fcr die kulturelle Teilhabe junger Menschen. Als Absolventin des Blackfeet Community College und der Montana State University war sie 36 Jahre lang am Blackfeet Community College t\u00e4tig \u2013 unter anderem als erste Pr\u00e4sidentin der Hochschule, die selbst Absolventin eines Tribal Colleges war. Sie gr\u00fcndete das Programm f\u00fcr Blackfeet Studies, warb \u00fcber 20 Millionen Dollar an F\u00f6rdermitteln ein und leitete zentrale Bau- und Entwicklungsprojekte auf dem Campus. Murray spielt eine zentrale Rolle bei der R\u00fcckf\u00fchrung sakraler Objekte sowie der Wiederbelebung traditioneller Gesellschaften und Zeremonien.
