Ohne zu wissen, dass das Objekt selbst nicht zu sehen sein w\u00fcrde, begab sie sich auf Spurensuche \u2013 zu den Orten, an denen die heilige Figur aufbewahrt und bewegt wurde. Sie fragte, was mit ihrem K\u00f6rper geschah, wer ihr Gesellschaft geleistet hat und wie sie nach Hause zur\u00fcckkehren wird. Nun pr\u00e4sentiert No\u02bbu ihren pers\u00f6nlichen Text \u00fcber Kihawahine \u2013 entstanden aus einer Begegnung, die sich dem Sehen entzog und stattdessen aus der Kraft von Geschichten und Geboren und aufgewachsen auf der Insel Maui, hat sie hawaiianische, visayanische und deutsche Wurzeln. Sie ist Autorin von <em data-prosemirror-content-type=\"mark\" data-prosemirror-mark-name=\"em\">Ask the Brindled<\/em>, das in die renommierte National Poetry Series aufgenommen und mit dem Balcones Prize ausgezeichnet wurde. Ihre Texte erschienen unter anderem in <em data-prosemirror-content-type=\"mark\" data-prosemirror-mark-name=\"em\">Lit Hub<\/em>, <em data-prosemirror-content-type=\"mark\" data-prosemirror-mark-name=\"em\">Poetry Northwest<\/em>, <em data-prosemirror-content-type=\"mark\" data-prosemirror-mark-name=\"em\">World Literature Today<\/em>, <em data-prosemirror-content-type=\"mark\" data-prosemirror-mark-name=\"em\">Prairie Schooner<\/em> und <em data-prosemirror-content-type=\"mark\" data-prosemirror-mark-name=\"em\">Split This Rock<\/em>. Mit Lesungen und Performances war sie international pr\u00e4sent \u2013 von Hawai\u02bbi \u00fcber New York bis nach Papua-Neuguinea und Berlin. Ihr Poesiefilm <em data-prosemirror-content-type=\"mark\" data-prosemirror-mark-name=\"em\">N\u0101n\u0101 i ke kumu<\/em> wurde 2026 zum Mother Tongue Film Festival der Smithsonian Institution eingeladen.
