Die Omaha, Francis La Flesche und seine Sammlung&#8220; ist das Ergebnis einer mehrj\u00e4hrigen Zusammenarbeit zwischen Lehrenden und Studierenden des\u00a0<em>Nebraska Indian Community College<\/em> und einem Berliner Kurator*innenteam.\u00a0Ihr zentraler Ausgangspunkt ist eine Sammlung von Objekten, die Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts im Auftrag des Ethnologischen Museums Berlin von Francis La Flesche (1857\u20131932) zusammengestellt wurde.<\/p>\n<p>Francis La Flesche gilt als der erste Indigene Ethnologe Nordamerikas. Mit ihm r\u00fcckt die Ausstellung eine Pers\u00f6nlichkeit ins Licht, die stellvertretend f\u00fcr zahlreiche Indigene Akteur*innen steht, ohne die ethnologisches Forschen und Sammeln nicht h\u00e4tte stattfinden k\u00f6nnen.\u00a0Sein Leben und Wirken ist untrennbar mit der Geschichte der Unterdr\u00fcckung der Indigenen Bev\u00f6lkerung Nordamerikas verbunden und nur vor diesem Hintergrund zu verstehen.<\/p>\n<p>Welche Bedeutung hat die Sammlung f\u00fcr Um\u00f3\u207fho\u207f\u00a0heute?
