Die ausgekl\u00fcgelte Komposition aus wundersch\u00f6nen Malereien macht es zu einem der bedeutendsten Thai-Handschriften \u00fcberhaupt.:\u00a0 das Pracht-Manuskript <em>Trai-Phum<\/em> (= <em>Drei Welten<\/em>) ist in vielfacher Hinsicht ein Highlight. Der thail\u00e4ndische K\u00f6nig Taksin gab das Werk im Jahre 1776 bei seinen Hofmalern in Auftrag.<\/p>\n<p>Nach alter buddhistischer Vorstellung besteht der Kosmos aus drei Welten. Gute oder schlechte Taten entscheiden dar\u00fcber, wo man wiedergeboren wird. Ganz unten ist die Welt sinnlichen Begehrens mit H\u00f6llen. Dar\u00fcber liegen die Menschenwelt und zahlreiche Himmel.
