Die <em>Union Textiles Semillas<\/em> (ein Zusammenschluss von Weberinnen, K\u00fcnstlerinnen und Aktivistinnen aus dem Norden von Argentinien) vereint mittlerweile 300 Weberinnen aus zw\u00f6lf nord-argentinischen Kollektiven. Die generationen\u00fcbergreifende Gemeinschaft, die von einer ebenso altersdiversen Gruppe Frauen im Rahmen des Projekts <em>Textiles Semillas<\/em> ins Leben gerufen wurde, f\u00f6rdert neue Ans\u00e4tze des gemeinsamen und interkulturellen Schaffens und Lernens. Dieser Ansatz konkretisiert sich in gemeinsamen Arbeiten, in denen sich Bedeutungen neu zusammensetzen und Gemeinschaft als bewusst gelebte Praxis verstanden wird.<\/p>\n<p>In der ersten Phase des Projekts Anfang 2023 fand eine Reihe an als Pilgerfahrten bezeichneten Unternehmungen statt. W\u00e4hrend dieser Reisen, die die Teilnehmerinnen durch Gebirge, T\u00e4ler und Schluchten f\u00fchrten, wurden die Communities der beteiligten Kollektive besucht: Randeras de El Cercado (Monteros, Tucum\u00e1n), Warmipura (Taf\u00ed del Valle, Tucum\u00e1n), Cooperativa La Pachamama (Amaicha del Valle, Tucum\u00e1n), Tejedoras de Quilmes (Quilmes, Tucum\u00e1n), Tinku Kamayu (Santa Mar\u00eda, Catamarca), Mercedes Cardozo de Achalay Tejidos (Niogasta, Simoca, Tucum\u00e1n), Teleras de Atamisqui (Atamisqui, Santiago del Estero), Teleras de Huilla Catina (Huilla Catina, Santiago del Estero), Tejedores Andinos (Huacalera, Jujuy), Flor en Piedra (Caspal\u00e1, Jujuy), Flor de Altea (Santa Ana, Jujuy) und Sil\u00e4t (Santa Victoria Este, Salta). Die Koordination der Treffen vor Ort und die Kommunikation mit und zwischen den Weberinnen \u00fcbernahmen als Teil des kuratorischen Teams Andrei Fern\u00e1ndez und Alejandra Mizrahi.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n                <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"row margin-bottom-sixth\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-md-offset-2 col-md-8\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"box\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<read-more inline-template>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"copy margin-bottom-sixth\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div ref=\"body\" style=\"height:0;overflow: hidden;display: none;\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"margin-bottom-sixth\"><p><em>Textiles Semillas<\/em> \u00f6ffnet den Raum f\u00fcr Austausch sowohl \u00fcber die eigentlichen Webtechniken als auch \u00fcber die rituelle Dimension des Webens \u2013 einer Aktivit\u00e4t, die fundiertes Wissen \u00fcber die komplexen Muster in den Textilien voraussetzt. Die K\u00f6rperbewegungen, die die F\u00e4den zu Stoffen zusammensetzen, gleichen einer Choreographie, w\u00e4hrend in den Mustern selbst Vorstellungen von Verk\u00f6rperung, Territorium und Materialit\u00e4t verhandelt werden.<\/p>\n<p>So wie ein Setzling, aus dem eine Pflanze erw\u00e4chst, ein Sinnbild f\u00fcr Ver\u00e4nderung und Bewegung ist, soll unser Projekt eine Einladung sein, \u00fcber Verbindungen zwischen unterschiedlichen Welten und Lebensrealit\u00e4ten, \u00fcber neue M\u00f6glichkeiten der Kollaboration, der Bewahrung und Erm\u00f6glichung von W\u00fcnschen und \u00fcber gemeinschaftliches Wachsen nachzudenken. Innerhalb dieses B\u00fcndnisses hat sich eine internationale Forschungsgruppe gebildet, bestehend aus Individuen, die die Rolle von <em>Sembradoras<\/em> (span. S\u00e4er*innen oder Einpflanzer*innen) einnehmen und die sich der Pflege und dem Wachstum von Textiles Semillas verschrieben haben: Gabriela Cisterna, Celeste Valero, Milagros Colodrero, Fernanda Villagra Serra, Claudia Alarc\u00f3n, Anabel Luna, Carla Abiles, Tatiana Beltomonte, Clara Johnston, Santiago Azzati, Victoria Pastrana, Alina Bardavid, Alvaro Simon Padr\u00f3s. Fern\u00e1ndez hat Ausstellungen in Museen, Galerien und unabh\u00e4ngigen Kunstr\u00e4umen in Argentinien, Deutschland, Paraguay, Portugal und Gro\u00dfbritannien kuratiert. Sie war Koordinatorin des Projekts <em>La escucha y los viento<\/em>, das in Form einer Wanderausstellung in der ifa-Galerie Berlin (2020), dem Museo de Bellas Artes in Salta und dem Museo del Barro\/Fundaci\u00f3n Migliorisi in Asunci\u00f3n (2021) pr\u00e4sentiert wurde. 2022 wurde sie vom argentinischen Kulturministerium zur Kuratorin des 110. <em>Sal\u00f3n Nacional de Artes Visuales<\/em> im Palais de Glace berufen. 2023 nahm sie, finanziell unterst\u00fctzt durch ein Stipendium des Bridges Programme der Argentinischen Botschaft und der Anglo-Argentinischen Gesellschaft, am Residenzprogramm der Delfina Foundation in London teil. Im Rahmen der 60. Venedig-Biennale begleitete sie das Weberinnen-Kollektiv der Wich\u00ed, Sil\u00e4t, deren Arbeiten bis November 2024 in der Hauptausstellung gezeigt werden. Fern\u00e1ndez arbeitet eng mit der Galerie Cecilia Brunson Projects zusammen. Sie ist an dem Projekt\u00a0<em>99 Questions<\/em>\u00a0des Humboldt Forum beteiligt und ist Teil FACT, Fundaci\u00f3n para el Arte Contempor\u00e1neo de Tucum\u00e1n. Ein Teil der Arbeit wurde in den Publikationen <em>RandAcerca<\/em> (2020) und <em>Randa: tradici\u00f3n y dise\u00f1o tucumanos en di\u00e1logo<\/em> (2013) ver\u00f6ffentlicht. In den Jahren 2017, 2018 und 2019 nahm sie im Rahmen der BienalSur an Katsuhiko Hibinos <em>Turn Project<\/em> teil. Derzeit ist Michael als Kurator und wissenschaftlicher Referent am Humboldt Forum in Berlin besch\u00e4ftigt. In dieser Rolle leitet er das institutionen\u00fcbergreifende Projekt <em>99 Fragen<\/em>. Diese k\u00fcnstlerisch-forscherscherische Initiative umfasst eine Reihe an \u201eresearch nodes\u201c (Forschungsknoten), Zusammenk\u00fcnften, Workshops, Talks, Residenzprogrammen und weiteren Formaten und bringt eine inspirierende Gruppe an K\u00fcnstler*innen, Denker*innen und Praktiker*innen zusammen. Zu den Teilnehmenden z\u00e4hlen (unter anderen) Chao Tayiana Maina, Molemo Moiloa, Ciraj Rassool, Denilson Baniwa, Gabriela do Matos, Hadji Malick Ndiaye, Macarena G\u00f3mez-Barris, Magdalena Campos-Pons, Malcom Ferdinand, Oulimata Gueye, Temi Odumosu, The Nest Collective, Zo\u00e9 Samudzi, Claudia Alarc\u00f3n und Sil\u00e4t sowie Rolando V\u00e1zquez. Als Kurator war Projekten an unterschiedlichen Institutionen beteiligt, darunter etwa das GRASSI Museum in Leipzig, die Whitworth Art Gallery und die Delfina Foundation in Gro\u00dfbritannien, oder das DocsDF Film Festival und das MUAC in Mexiko. Er gab Seminare an der Universit\u00e4t Wien und dem Lateinamerika-Institut (LAI) der Freien Universit\u00e4t Berlin. Sein Grundstudium der Urbanistik absolvierte Michael an der Bauhaus-Universit\u00e4t Weimar und der Universidad Nacional Aut\u00f3noma de M\u00e9xico, seinen Masterabschluss im Fach <em>Visual Anthropology and Sensory Media<\/em> machte er an der University of Manchester.
