The workshop Superpowers?! invites primary school students to explore the superhuman powers and skills of some selected objects from Africa, Asia and Europe. In the exploratory part of the workshop, the students examine the external forms and meanings of the objects and correlate these two aspects. How do the works affect me? Where do they come from? Who or what do they represent? What characteristics mark them? Does their impact change when I change my perspective? What are their “superpowers” and how did they develop in their cultural contexts? In the practical part of the workshop, the participants get creative themselves. Under the sensitive guidance of the educators, they pursue the questions: What scares me? What gives me strength? What superpowers would I like to have? A variety of materials are offered to express one’s own feelings and thoughts and create a personal figure with “superpowers”.
