The students first explore the exhibition, while engaging with traditional objects provided by Australian curators, such as a boomerang, a stone-axe and kangaroo pelt. Subsequently, the students create their own songline by drawing, painting and dancing.<\/p>\n

Like the artworks shown in the exhibition, they transfer the experiences of their way from the school to the Humboldt Forum into an unscripted cartographic creation. Landmarks along the way, crossings, hazard points, as well as external influences, such as the sensory perceptions in an urban environment, are thus creatively transmitted onto an artwork.<\/p>\n

Inquisitively, playfully and through teamwork, the students explore forms of expression of the Indigenous communities, embodying knowledge passed down from generation to generation. This opens the students\u2019 minds to new ways of perceiving everyday life, which do not usually get addressed.<\/p>\n
