DURCHL\u00dcFTEN 2025 \u2013 A Transcultural Sound Experience<\/h3>\n

Dancing, music, and good vibes \u2013 all for free under Berlin\u2019s open sky: For the fifth time, DURCHL\u00dcFTEN (airing out) turns the Schl\u00fcterhof into a vibrant music festival. On four weekends, Berlin artists and international guests celebrate the richness of global music cultures: from the raw energy of Mexican Cumbia-punk to the hypnotic pulse of Kenyan Dodo Blues, from soulful jazz to Hip-hop and Caribbean-tinged Japanese folk. Embracing the spirit of \u201cCulture for all\u201d, DURCHL\u00dcFTEN stays free and open to all \u2013 a genre-spanning festival of music, dance, and culinary delights. Curated by the music expert Melissa Perales.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n

JULY 17 \u2013 AUGUST 9, 2025 | THURSDAY TO SATURDAY | 19:00<\/h4>\n

The festival will be opened on July 17, 2025 at 6:30 pm<\/strong> by Melissa Perales, curator of the festival and Hartmut Dorgerloh, General Director of the Humboldt Forum. Afterwards, Logan February, \u201cPoet in Residence\u201d from Nigeria, will present a poem.<\/p>\n

With 24 live acts and 12 DJs altogether, each of the 12 evenings is a journey through diverse musical landscapes\u2014one moment in the bustling streets of Mexico City, the desert nights of Niger, the pulsating beats of Nairobi, or the hidden grooves of Tokyo \u2014 before landing back in the heart of Berlin\u2019s ever-evolving club culture.<\/p>\n

More than just a festival, DURCHL\u00dcFTEN creates an open, communal space where music becomes a language of connection. The festival is set within a site deeply woven into Berlin\u2019s layered history and a building hosting cultural belongings from many cultures of the world. The festival invites reflection on movement \u2014 of people, sounds, and narratives \u2014 turning the Schl\u00fcterhof into a stage where global voices come together to reclaim and reshape cultural spaces through sound.<\/p>\n

And the best part? It\u2019s free, it\u2019s outdoors, and it\u2019s for everyone. Whether you come to dance, discover new sounds, or simply enjoy a warm Berlin evening, it is yours to explore!
