But Mia gradually realizes just how different their lives are. She belongs to an Indigenous community, while Lara is part of the white middle class\u2014a contrast that shapes how the world around them views the two girls. Based on the author\u2019s autobiography, this powerful book unfolds in short episodes, offering a compelling glimpse into a friendship marked by racism and classism.<\/p>\n<h5>What happens in the workshop?<\/h5>\n<p>Inspired by <em>Weird Rules to Follow<\/em> and in line with the Humboldt Forum\u2019s theme of the year, <em>Relationships and Family<\/em>, we will develop our own scenes about friendship, family, cultural influences and change.<\/p>\n<p>Coordinators: Julian Keck &amp;
