On\u202ffour summer weekends, DURCHL\u00dcFTEN transforms the Humboldt Forum\u2019s \u202fSchl\u00fcterhof \u202finto a free open-air meeting place where musical traditions from across the globe unfold\u202fas living\u202fcultural archives.\u202f<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For the sixth time now, DURCHL\u00dcFTEN<\/strong> transforms the\u00a0Schl\u00fcterhof\u202fcourtyard of Berlin\u2019s Humboldt Forum into a vibrant open-air stage for global music, cultural dialogue, and shared\u202fexperience. From 9 July to 1 August 2026<\/strong>, across four summer weekends, the festival presents\u202f24 live acts and 12 DJs from around the world<\/strong>. Each evening features two concerts followed by a\u00a0DJ set, creating twelve nights of musical discovery, movement, and encounter in the heart of Berlin\u202f\u2014\u202fonce again with free entry for all.\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

From electrified Mauritanian desert blues to Andean Indigenous futurism, Kurdish acid ritual to Afro-Colombian bass cosmologies, Tanzanian polyphony to Anatolian-Nordic electronica\u2014the courtyard becomes a meeting point of living cultures<\/strong>.\u202fArtists carry\u00a0traditions such\u00a0as living archives, weaving ancestral instruments, languages, and storytelling into contemporary forms, diasporic exchange, and global club culture. Collaborations with independent labels like Argentina\u2019s\u202fZZK Records\u202fand Karachi-based\u202f<\/span>honiunhoni<\/span>\u202ffurther expand these cross-continental sonic dialogues.\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Since its\u202finception,\u202fDURCHL\u00dcFTEN<\/strong> \u202fhas stood for cultural dialogue beyond museum walls. What begins inside the galleries\u202f\u2014\u202fin exhibitions, collections, and interdisciplinary exchange\u202f\u2014\u202fflows outward into lived\u202fexperience. The courtyard becomes a\u202fcommons: a space of participation, hospitality, and collective presence.\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
