George Tamihana Nuku<\/strong> (*1964) is one of New Zealand\u2019s leading contemporary artists. He works with plastic and plexiglass, transforming these materials into vibrant artworks of high aesthetic value. His work challenges viewers to confront another dimension of these problematic materials and offers new perspectives on the exhibits in the Oceania galleries.<\/p>\n

These artistic interventions were created on-site as part of the fellowship program of the Ethnologisches Museums and Museum f\u00fcr Asiatische Kunst. This program allows fellows to engage deeply with exhibition pieces and collection objects from their creator communities.<\/p>\n
