Create 3D\u00a0Maps<\/span><\/strong>
\nWith illustrator Ulrike Haselhoff, imaginative folding\u00a0maps<\/span>\u00a0come to life \u2013 showing real favourite places or invented dream journeys through Berlin. Of course, the creative artworks can be taken home.<\/p>\n

Weaving Cartographer<\/strong>
\nAt the large wooden weaving frame, you\u2019ll weave your thoughts, wishes and views of Berlin \u2013 thread by thread, a colourful city map made of wool emerges.<\/p>\n

Body Cartographer<\/strong>
\nGrab a pen and design your very own world map on a body outline. Expressive, colourful, and ready to take home or display.<\/p>\n

Rolling Cartographer<\/strong>
\nDraw your favourite place and place it inside a sphere, which you\u2019ll crank into the sphere universe \u2013 and receive a place drawn by someone else in return. Map meets sphere, person meets perspective. Just join in!<\/p>\n

Mapping Berlin Together<\/strong>
\nA giant city map invites you to contribute: Add your places, ideas and impressions. Guiding questions help you reflect. All contributions become part of a large, shared picture.<\/p>\n

Picture Book Journey in the (Reading) Lounge<\/strong>
\nStart times: 1 pm,\u00a0 2 pm, 3 pm<\/p>\n

Actor Fabian von Herman reads exciting stories about travel and the world. Cosy cushions invite you to listen or browse. Fascinating atlases are also available for adults.<\/p>\n

For the youngest visitors, there\u2019s a play and crawling area as well as changing facilities. More information here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Short Guided Tours through BERLIN GLOBAL<\/strong><\/p>\n

Meeting point: Weaving Cartographer in the WELTSTUDIO
\nStart times: 11 am, 12:30 pm, 2 pm
\nRecommended for ages 8 and up<\/p>\n

Together with a guide, you\u2019ll explore the BERLIN GLOBAL exhibition with a special focus on\u00a0maps<\/span>. Where do we encounter\u00a0maps<\/span>? What stories do they tell \u2013 and which ones don\u2019t they?<\/p>\n

The guided tours are held in German.<\/em><\/p>\n
