Inspired by Diego Rivera\u2019s monumental mural Sue\u00f1o de una tarde dominical en la Alameda Central<\/em> (Dream of a Sunday Afternoon in the Alameda Central<\/em>), Death \u2013 in the guise of an elegant lady (La Catrina<\/em>) \u2013 strolls through the Humboldt Forum and encounters characters from all walks of life across Mexican history.<\/p>\n

Created in 1947, the mural is considered the birth of the iconic figure of La Catrina, originally conceived by illustrator Jos\u00e9 Guadalupe Posada, which achieved international fame through Rivera\u2019s work.<\/p>\n
