Text tricks, flowing words and rhythmic sentences:<\/strong>\u00a0In this workshop, children aged 8 to 12 get an exciting introduction to the world of wordplay and spoken-word poetry. Language artists Lucia Lucia and Bas B\u00f6ttcher show participants how to use a toolkit of sentence-building techniques to create funny, entertaining and engaging texts. They support the young slammers in turning their own ideas into entertaining pieces and presenting them on stage.<\/p>\n

The workshop focuses on an element that surrounds us every day and yet is full of surprises:\u00a0water<\/strong>. We drink it, swim in it, and encounter it as rain, ice or the sea. What might a poem about a wave that sweeps everything away sound like? How would a river speak as it searches for its way?<\/p>\n

Inspired by the exhibition\u00a0On Water. WasserWissen<\/em>\u00a0at Humboldt Labor in Berlin, the children explore the many facets of water and transform their observations and ideas into their own poetry slam texts.<\/p>\n
