The performance \u201cRemembering Across Borders\u201d and a discussion about the project of the same name approach this question in different ways.<\/p>\n<p data-renderer-start-pos=\"4524\" data-local-id=\"30585f57f329\">The performance explores creatively, musically, and participatively the idea that remembrance is not a zero-sum game. Excluding or pitting against one another those affected by racism and antisemitism leads to a dead end. \u201cRemembering Across Borders\u201d proposes new ways of thinking about the remembrance of colonialism and the Holocaust in a universalist and solidaristic manner, while also keeping present-day German society in view.<\/p>\n<p data-renderer-start-pos=\"4959\" data-local-id=\"343f3ee4aca3\">The discussion introduces the project together with its participants. A graduate in graphic design and a member of the Verein Berliner K\u00fcnstler since 2010, Dibiah is a key figure in Berlin\u2019s cultural scene.<\/p>\n<p data-renderer-start-pos=\"10987\" data-local-id=\"974e3ed4e197\">His notable work It Lies in Public Spaces at the Humboldt Forum critically explores colonial legacies through rap, prayer, and poetry. Currently, he is developing Berlin Reconference, a performance addressing 140 years of colonialism through storytelling, music, and philosophy.<\/p>\n<p data-renderer-start-pos=\"11267\" data-local-id=\"5d27e488d0f7\">As an educator, Dibiah teaches art in Berlin\u2019s Jugendkunstschulen and works as a guide since 2001 for the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, fostering deeper engagement with art and culture. From 2007 to 2011, he studied acting at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin. There, she teaches painting, creative arts, and sewing, and develops her own art and sewing projects together with children and young people. Her artistic practice also includes mural painting, sculpture, costume design, and videography.<\/p>\n<p>Under her stage name Rebecca le Dove, she works as a burlesque performer and dancer. Drawing on her experience in classical dance and ballet, as well as her focus on storytelling, she creates her own stage characters, narratives, and costumes, which she designs and sews herself. In her performances, she combines dance, visual art, and narrative burlesque. Her work explores themes of overcoming challenges, female empowerment, self-determination, and connectedness.
