Could psychedelic substances be an alternative treatment to pharmaceutical drugs with their many side-effects? What are the differences between Psilocybin \u2013 better known as \u201cMagic Mushrooms\u201d \u2013 and anti-depressants? And how could LSD help in a phenomenon called \u201cego-death\u201d?<\/p>\n

Neuroscientist Prateep Beed is a researcher at Berlin\u2019s Charit\u00e9 \u2013 Universit\u00e4tsmedizin Berlin who specialises in Serotonin \u2013 a key chemical for brain functions that regulates mood, anxiety and happiness. On the occasion of \u201cBrain Awareness Week<\/a>\u201d, he will give visitors insights into his research at the\u00a0NeuroCure<\/a>\u00a0installation in the Humboldt Lab.<\/p>\n
