MONUMENT: AFTERPIECE explores the relationship between the human (male) body, identity and the specific context of a place. The starting point of the performance is a reflection on the present time, its (post-)apocalyptic character and the feeling of the end of the world as we know it.<\/p>\n

The site-specific staging with continuous performance examines the space of the unknown, the time after the (de)construction of earlier convictions and models as well as the recreation of a feeling for collective values. The AFTERPIECE looks at the connection between past and future: Where are we now? How far have we come? The performers selected for this work are not professionals. Their genuine demeanor is just as important for the performance as the presence of an audience.<\/p>\n
