Goddess Durga<\/strong> is probably one of the most popular forms of the goddess (devi) along with Lakshmi, Parvati and Kali. Every year in autumn, after the rainy season in September\/October, Hindus around the world celebrate the most important festival in her honor – the Durga Puja. In this colorful and exuberant spectacle, the victory of the goddess Durga over the buffalo demon Mahishasura is commemorated for ten days.<\/p>\n

In this exhibition tour, we take the festival as an opportunity to encounter a goddess who, for the faithful, is not only the origin of the universe and a benevolent mother, but also a fearsome and sometimes bloodthirsty destroyer of all evil, who must always be appeased.<\/p>\n
