Berlin Exhibition, 1st floor, Ground Floor, Schlüter Courtyard |
Belongs to: BERLIN GLOBAL |
The Kunstwerkstatt Kreuzberg and BERLIN GLOBAL once again invite you to an open art and protest event in the heart of Berlin.
Join us in creating a “Palace within the Palace” – a monumental cardboard sculpture that, with your ideas and our materials, becomes the perfect backdrop for selfies. This collaborative artwork is a statement on the royal façade architecture in central Berlin.
In the Schlüter Courtyard of the Humboldt Forum, you can leave your wishes, demands, and dreams directly on our palace façade, design protest signs together, and leave stickers with your personal statement in the room “Revolution” of the BERLIN GLOBAL exhibition.
At our photo station, you can have your picture taken in front of the palace façade and take home an instant photo as a keepsake to share.
For the fourth time in a row, Kunstwerkstatt Kreuzberg and BERLIN GLOBAL are transforming the Schlüter Courtyard into a space for creative participation and social engagement.
Participants
The Kunstwerkstatt Kreuzberg of Lebenshilfe Berlin is an open offer for creative expression and is led by David Permantier. In addition to the artistic process, the exchange about art and social issues is important. The artists are active in many places in Berlin and are also socially and politically engaged: for example, they read statements at the Unteilbar demonstration and cook for homeless people.
Since the opening of BERLIN GLOBAL, the members of the Kunstwerkstatt Kreuzberg have worked closely with the Stadtmuseum Berlin. In 2021, the artists created the Open Space exhibition Un certain regard. Everyone belongs!
For three consecutive years, the Kunstwerkstatt invited visitors to joint art actions in the Schlüter Courtyard of the Humboldt Forum. Last year, they organized an inclusive soup kitchen.
