Natalie Greffel is a Mozambican-Danish composer, singer, and bassist based in Berlin. Her music intricately blends Afro-Brazilian influences, jazz, and elements of her Mozambican heritage, exploring themes of identity and diaspora. A past recipient of the German Jazz Award for Best Vocals, she has collaborated with artists like Angel Bat Dawid and Radio Citizen. As the founder of New Past, a collective reexamining global histories through music, Greffel continues to push artistic and cultural boundaries, both as a performer and curator, including her work with the XJAZZ! Festival in Berlin. She was a guest at DURCHLÜFTEN 2021 and we’re happy to have her back on stage.
