The much-discussed workshop exhibition on the 2nd floor of the Humboldt Forum deals with different forms of critical exhibition practice. Over the past year and a half, the exhibition’s curatorial team as well as student groups from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and the Weißensee School of Art and international artists have explored current issues relating to the presentation of sensitive objects (from Tanzania).

This final event will present the results of this work and give an outlook on future projects.

Programme
  • Welcome by the curatorial team and greeting by Vicensia Shule (Critical Companion of the exhibition)
  • Documentary film on the exhibition by Vicensia Shule
  • Presentation of the workbook
  • Discussion with the artists Amani Abeid and Charity Atukunda about their work in the exhibitions
  • Preview of the upcoming exhibition ‘Stories of Tanzania’
  • Get together with drinks

Together with the various participants in the workshop exhibition, we would like to review the multifaceted process and look at materials that will convey ‘Exhibiting.Omissions’ beyond the duration of the exhibition. We will also provide initial insights into the upcoming exhibition ‘Stories of Tanzania’.

Visit the collections on the 2nd and 3rd floor
In the Humboldt Forum's foyer there is a 17 meter high media tower, called "cosmograph". It gives visitors comprehensive information about their visit and can transform into an art and light installation.
