Discussion

————-

Within the scope of the seminar “Exhibiting Colonialism” (lecturer: Janis Nalbadidacis), students of the Humboldt University of Berlin critically revisited the workshop-exhibition and added critical interventions. The exhibition was also supplemented by the curatorial team. Further stories and perspectives have been added to underline the ongoing “work in progress” – however many voids remain.

Exhibiting.Omissions. Objects from Tanzania and the Colonial Archive questions, remembers and looks at the objects in the museum collection and their stories from a new perspective: To whom and where do/did those objects  belong? Which stories do they carry, which have not been told or have been ignored until today? Should these objects still be exhibited in Berlin today?
