The dialogical tour shows you the highlights from the collection areas of Africa, Oceania, North, Central and South America and ethnomusicology. Learn more from our mediators about the restitution of the Benin bronzes to Nigeria or the connection between the historic boats from Oceania and global climate change. Discuss provenance research using the example of cultural belongings from Namibia, which are presented together with contemporary art. The tour explains current projects of the Collaborative Museum with partners from all over the world as well as Berlin’s urban society and conveys how the consequences of colonialism extend to the present day. You can also experience the themes of the museum in a sensory and contemporary way through attractive tactile objects, a variety of film and media stations and an audio room with the “Sounds of the World”.
