Once a month, poetry and science come together at the Humboldt Lab. In the Logoskop‘s twenty-ninth edition, the renowned spoken-word poets Lea Streisand and Jesko Habert will explore the exhibition After Nature with live performances of their work. Visitors are invited to join them on their tour of eloquence.

Lea Streisand

Lea Streisand, born in East Berlin in 1979, writes novels, essays and columns for publications including taz, Berliner Zeitung and Jüdische Allgemeine. She is known for her Radio Eins column war schön jewesen on rbb. In winter semester 2022/23, she took over the poetry lectureship at Paderborn University. She is co-editor of the satirical anthology against Jew-hatred Sind Antisemitisten anwesend?, which was published by Satyr in autumn 2024.

Jesko Habert

Jesko Habert lives and writes in Berlin as a spoken word poet and author. In 2012, he published Fremdgang, his first work of poems set to music. In addition to several publications on sustainability, he dedicated himself to his first children’s book in 2016 and has been the main author of the Kiezpoeten blog How to be a Poet since 2017. Jesko Habert works as a slam organiser and event manager under the Kiezpoeten label. Stylistically, he works mainly lyrically with rap influences on a wide variety of topics. His lyrically rich texts have been published in several books, including three of his own works. Musically, he presents his texts with the band Postcards from Prague.

In the Humboldt Forum's foyer there is a 17 meter high media tower, called "cosmograph". It gives visitors comprehensive information about their visit and can transform into an art and light installation.
