Ulrich Matthes is one of the great character actors in cinema (including the role of Joseph Goebbels in “Der Untergang”) and television as well as on the theater stage. He is a member of the ensemble of the Deutsches Theater Berlin. Matthes was President of the German Film Academy until 2022.
