The Humboldt Forum is a modern building and looks like a baroque palace from the outside. How does that come about? In a dialogically guided tour through rooms, courtyards and along the facades, the students explore the formal language of its baroque and contemporary architecture. What references to the 800-year-old architectural history can be discovered – and how is it interwoven with today’s urban space? What effect do reconstructed symbols of rule, power and representation have today?

    Meeting point & time

The meeting point for guided tours and the location for workshops can be found on your booking confirmation. In order for the tour to begin punctually, please arrive 15 minutes before the programme is due to start. We ask that you allow for this additional quarter hour when planning your visit.

In the Humboldt Forum's foyer there is a 17 meter high media tower, called "cosmograph". It gives visitors comprehensive information about their visit and can transform into an art and light installation.
