What is there to discover at a cultural venue like the Humboldt Forum? Apart from exhibits, why is there also a café here? How do you find your way around? And what do the people who work here actually do?

At the heart of this interactive tour is the children’s autonomous, interest-driven exploration of the stairwell, from the ground floor up to the third floor. Through playful discovery, they get to know the space, exhibits, signage systems, furniture and technical features. An activity-based map , visual prompt cards,  and hands-on material support their exploration. They can even take their maps back home with them; it can later be used for further reflection and expanded with every new visit.

In the Humboldt Forum's foyer there is a 17 meter high media tower, called "cosmograph". It gives visitors comprehensive information about their visit and can transform into an art and light installation.
