The forest is in danger! All around the world, industrial forestry and climate change are threatening this important ecosystem. The workshop explains this using the example of the Canadian coastal rainforest and compares it to the flora and fauna in Germany. Why do humans need the forest? What can sustainable forest use look like? And who benefits from whom? The children give a shape and a voice to the inhabitants of the woods, who are not (always) visible. “Leave me be!”, cries the thousand-year-old cedar. “Go away with your fishnets”, hisses the wave in the creek.
