The Museum Knoblauchhaus in the Nikolaiviertel district focuses on the bourgeois nuclear family. The former residence of a merchant family offers fascinating insights into everyday family life 200 years ago. Interventions present different aspects of family life: from table manners and family trees to violent fathers. The migration experiences of the Knoblauch family, who fled Hungary, are contrasted with the experiences of people who work in the museum today. Against this backdrop, the interventions focus on migration and on the self-image of young women then and now.
