How did the objects exhibited in the museum come to Berlin? Who were the actors involved in the regions of origin? Who brought them here and why? Did they enter the collections during the colonial period? What significance did they have and still have in the countries of origin, and is their storage and presentation in the museum still appropriate today? The guided tour provides insights into how provenance researchers, in dialogue with international partners, retrace the path of the objects.
