Canto Diáspora is a Berlin-based women’s vocal ensemble made up primarily of migrant women from Latin America who are united by the desire to sing their memories, share their roots, and build community through music. Founded in 2022 and directed by Colombian singer Carolina Riaño, the choir brings together voices shaped by migration, cultural heritage, and lived experience. Through collective singing and inspired by the oral and musical traditions of Latin America, the ensemble creates a powerful tapestry of sound that reflects resilience, joy, and the richness of diasporic identity.

More than a choir, Canto Diáspora is a space for connection, expression, and sisterhood. It offers a supportive environment where women can share stories, emotions, and experiences while strengthening bonds across cultures and backgrounds. Through music, the group cultivates collective care and empowerment, transforming singing into a source of strength, healing, and celebration.
