Gotopo creates Colombian-Venezuelan Sci Fi sounds that dig deep into her own history and that of her ancestors. Born in Caracas and trained at the renowned youth orchestra El Sistema, Gotopo keeps pushing the boundaries between classical music and club culture. Hip Hop lyrics meet choral passages, string arrangements meet sparkling synthesizer sounds, and deep bass runs meet traditional South American string instruments. Gotop’s live performances conjure visions of the future that have deep roots in the pre-colonial musical heritage of South America.
