Morena Leraba is the stage name of Teboho Mochaoa, a musician and shepherd from Matholeng, a village in the Mafeteng region south of Lesotho’s capital, Maseru. Since 2017, he’s fused traditional Sesotho Famo music with global sounds, creating a genre-defying style marked by electrifying performances and collaborations. His 2023 debut EP Fela sa Ha Mojela (The Good Times Co, Permanent Record) pays tribute to his roots, blending Famo-inspired vocals with psychedelic, dynamic influences. Themes explore migration, labour, hope, and rural life.

Leraba has worked with Major Lazer, Damon Albarn’s Africa Express, ONIPA, BLK JKS, Mawimbi, and Spoek Mathambo. In 2023, he became the first CollaboNation recipient, collaborating with Zimbabwe’s Mokoomba. He has performed internationally at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, Africa Express in London, and Prince Harry’s Sentebale Concert alongside Rita Ora, and others.
