DJ Alai K (Berlin)
Alai K is the pseudonym of the Kenyan producer, musician and singer-songwriter Abdalla Khamis Abdalla. Born in Mombasa, Alai K now lives and works in Berlin and produces his very own sound mix of Kenyan hip-hop, lots of electro and traditional East African coastal rhythms. Alai K’s performances are a mix of live instruments, electro beats, Mijikenda rhythms, Chakacha and Benga music and span a wide range of transnational African music culture.
