Fania Brava is a Berlin-based cultural and musical project founded in 2018 by a collective of Caribbean women. Through their events, they celebrate Latin music across generations: from classic salsa and guaguancó to contemporary sounds like reggaeton and dembow, while creating inclusive spaces that amplify FLINTA* voices within Berlin’s nightlife scene.

At DURCHLÜFTEN, resident artist Lionza, originally from Caracas—a city central to the golden era of salsa and vinyl culture in the 1970s—presents a selection from her collection of original records. Her set moves through salsa, guaguancó and boogaloo by orchestras from the Caribbean diaspora across Puerto Rico, Cuba, Venezuela, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Panama, highlighting the deep Afro-Latin roots and dance-floor energy that forged a shared musical language still resonating worldwide.

Berlin | Frank | iHeartBerlin on Instagram: “Bringing together the music of different decades and generations in one warm and welcoming space really makes @faniabravaparty so special to us. For our series The Night Shift we spoke with the FLINTA* collective behind the party. The next Fania Brava is this Friday, Oct 24, at @badehaus_berlin”
