To close the evening we are looking forward to the DJ set of Stella Chiweshe’s longtime supporters, Maryisonacid & Dauwd, who run the legendary Berlin club night and label African Acid Is The Future. Maryisonacid’s unique approach to DJing combines Afro-Diasporic sounds with groovy electronic tracks and techno. Maryisonacid has been collecting records since the age of 14 and can be described as a walking music library. Dauwd is an integral part of Berlin’s alternative scene as not only a DJ but also a versatile producer. Together they run and organize the cult Berlin club night and the label African Acid Is The Future, “moving from afro to techno and a lot more in between”.
