If science is queen at Humboldt Lab, then #Logoskop is her court jester. Since 2021, artistic freedom has been making monthly appearances at Humboldt University’s exhibition space, using literature to shake up the scientific perspective. Equipped with microphones and amplifiers, two slam poets wander through the exhibition and recite texts.
This time, slam poets Mieze Medusa und Markus Köhle will be joining us. Together, they will comment on the exhibition ‘On Water’ with live recitations. Visitors are invited to accompany them on their tour of eloquence.

Mieze Medusa
Mieze Medusa moves between the pages of books, beats, and stages. She is an author, rapper, and a pioneer of the Austrian poetry slam scene. She has been performing spoken word on international stages since 2002. She lives in Vienna and works at the intersection of prose, poetry, performance, and music.
She has published novels, short stories, slam poetry, and audio recordings, and has produced theater works as well as experimental music projects. Her books include Du bist dran and Was über Frauen geredet wird, as well as the slam poetry collections Doppelter Textpresso and Ping Pong Poetry, published in collaboration with Markus Köhle.
For her, literature is also about connecting with others and exploring new ideas together: She organizes and hosts poetry slams and leads writing and performance workshops at schools, youth centers, colleges, and festivals. Her stage performances have taken her throughout Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, and as far as Shanghai.
