With the opening of the exhibition On Water – WaterKnowledge in Berlin in October, the Logoskop is back on track: in a new setting, poets will once again explore the science exhibition at the Humboldt Lab every month.

This time, slam poets Clara Nielsen and Max Prosa will take part. Together, they will comment on the exhibition On Water with live recitations. Visitors are invited to accompany them on their tour of eloquence.

Clara Nielsen

Clara Nielsen (born in Kiel in 1987) lives in Regensburg and has been an integral part of the poetry slam scene since 2007. Since then, she has been performing regularly on stages throughout the German-speaking world. In 2011, she was a member of the national slam team that performed at the DFB Women’s World Cup.

Invitations from the Goethe-Institut took her to Rome and Lisbon. She has also performed with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, the Big Band Convention Ostbayern, and the University Jazz Orchestra Regensburg, among others.

In 2012, she published her first book, Windschattengewächs, with Berlin-based Periplaneta Verlag. Together with Nora Gomringer, she edited the anthology Lautstärke ist weiblich (Volume is Female) – a collection of female voices from the poetry slam community, which was published by Satyr Verlag in 2017.

Max Prosa

Max Prosa, born in Berlin in 1989, is one of the defining voices of the German-speaking singer-songwriter scene. After brief detours into physics and philosophy, he decided to pursue music—and found his creative starting point in Berlin-Neukölln.

In 2011, Clueso took notice of him and took him on tour. Shortly thereafter, he made his television debut on Inas Nacht. His first album, Die Phantasie wird siegen (2012), marked his breakthrough: it reached number 20 on the German charts, received rave reviews, and drew comparisons to a young Bob Dylan. This was followed by sold-out tours and further albums, including Rangoon (2013), Keiner kämpft für mehr (2017) and Heimkehr (2018). At the same time, Prosa published Im Stillen, a book of poems and short stories.

His lyrics move between poetry, melancholy and new beginnings – sometimes songs, sometimes poems, always with a deep insight into the world.

In the Humboldt Forum's foyer there is a 17 meter high media tower, called "cosmograph". It gives visitors comprehensive information about their visit and can transform into an art and light installation.
