The typical Mexican miniatures for the Day of the Dead are both handicrafts and lessons, as they hold a mirror up to us. The artists depict tiny skeletons in everyday situations: in the dentist’s chair, at the wedding altar, riding a bicycle, or reading a book in the library. These scenes make it clear that death is present in the midst of life and can catch up with us anywhere. A collection by Calaca e.V. – colorful, original, and witty.
