Paul Ronzheimer is one of Germany’s best-known reporters. “I always wanted to be a journalist. The whole war and crisis thing just happened to me.” Since 2014, following the protests on the Maidan, Paul Ronzheimer has been reporting regularly on and from Ukraine. In 2022, he was named “Journalist der Jahres” (Journalist of the Year) for his work. That same year, Paul Ronzheimer narrowly survived a Russian attack. It wasn’t until days later that he began to grasp what had happened. “Fear always plays a role. We are completely at the mercy of luck.”

As deputy editor-in-chief and war and crisis reporter for BILD, Paul Ronzheimer is on assignment worldwide, whether in Iran, Venezuela, or Israel. In 2025, he is honored with a BAMBI for his news podcast RONZHEIMER.
