Together with Omid Nouripour, she was the federal chair of her party for over two years, until November 2024. In the summer of 2025, Ricarda Lang completed her Bachelor of Laws at Humboldt University and is now pursuing her master’s degree through distance learning while working full-time.
In October 2025, her joint book with Steffen Mau was published: “Der große Umbruch. Ein Gespräch über Krisen, Konflikte und Kompromisse”.
Steffen Mau is a sociologist at Humboldt University in Berlin and the author of several non-fiction bestsellers. His research focuses intensively on the question: Do Germans live in a divided society?
In 2021, the professor of macrosociology received the Leibniz Prize from the German Research Foundation.
His books “Ungleich vereint. Warum der Osten anders bleibt” and “Triggerpunkte. Konsens und Konflikt in der Gegenwartsgesellschaft” (together with Thomas Lux and Linus Westheuser) have been widely discussed and frequently cited.
Steffen Mau coined terms such as “Polarisierungsunternehmer” and “Veränderungserschöpfung”.
