Whether it was the G7 summit, the UN General Assembly, or a state visit, Stephan Detjen was often there as a journalistic observer. He accompanied chancellors, federal presidents, and numerous ministers. Since 2012, the journalist has been chief correspondent for the Deutschlandfunk radio network and heads the capital studio in Berlin and the European studio in Brussels. A graduate in law and history, he has reported for ARD from Karlsruhe and was editor-in-chief of Deutschlandfunk until 2012. In 2026, he will move to Paris as a correspondent.
