Since its opening in 2021, the Humboldt Forum has become part of Berlin. Where for decades the closed Palace of the Republic and then a large construction site dominated the scene, millions of visitors now stream through the courtyards and exhibitions, discuss at events, enjoy a diverse cultural programme and experience encounters with people and artists from all over the world. So much movement means change and so the Humboldt Forum is constantly evolving and continues to be the subject and place of controversial debates.

On the occasion of the final measures of the façade reconstruction with the installation of the balustrade figures, the Humboldt Forum invites you to experience this development process in the heart of Berlin in all its diversity. We present what has been achieved and offer the opportunity to discuss what is planned. Take a look into the engine rooms of such a large cultural complex in a special guided tour programme, meet artists from both the reconstructions and contemporary art in the building in table discussions. Discuss the planned urban development measures in the area surrounding the Humboldt Forum and find out about the results of the latest art-in-architecture competition. And round off the day with the sounds of Emeka Ogboh, who will be playing for you not far from his art installation on the roof.
