Songlines are cultural routes on which members of Indigenous communities in Australia, to this day, follow the trails of mythical Ancestral beings and learn to survive in nature.
The Seven Sisters songlines tell the saga of seven strong women, who are being pursued by a man with magical powers. Through this story, this multimedia exhibition invites school students to engage with the art and the landscapes of Australia.
The tour for grades 5-8 explores the connection of Indigenous Australians with the natural environment of the Western Australian deserts.
The tour for grades 9-13 pays special attention to the social ethic and the relationship between men and women portrayed in the songlines.
