What are the ways out of the climate crisis – and what specific role does science play in this? What impact does colonialism continue to have today, and how is our media behaviour shaping our values? How is personalised medicine transforming our healthcare system? How can we use artificial intelligence responsibly? And what does it mean for our democracy when facts come under increasing pressure?
At the ZEIT Forum Wissenschaft, leading researchers and committed individuals from the fields of sociology, linguistics, history, psychology and medicine come together to discuss and make complex topics accessible. Through direct dialogue with the audience, new ideas, surprising insights and often the right questions for tomorrow emerge. Here, we don’t just talk about the future – we think it through together.
The ZEIT Forum Wissenschaft is opening a new chapter – after 100 successful events at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities, the series will move to the Humboldt Forum in 2026. With this new venue, the discussion format gains a stage that is tailor-made for open, inquisitive debates. In a location right in the heart of Berlin that connects the past, present and future. Previous episodes can be listened to in the archive.
From now on, the programme will be hosted in rotation by Sibylle Anderl (DIE ZEIT), Ralf Krauter (Deutschlandfunk), Kathrin Kühn (Deutschlandfunk) and Anna-Lena Scholz (DIE ZEIT). Please note that the event is held in German, translation into English is not provided.
The ZEIT Forum Wissenschaft is a series of events organised by the ZEIT STIFTUNG BUCERIUS and the weekly newspaper DIE ZEIT, in collaboration with Deutschlandfunk, the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities, and the Humboldt Forum.
