Handong Ryu and Sultan invite you on a journey into the world of Indian ragas with the sitar string instrument and tabla drums.
Ragas, the basis of Indian classical music, are complex musical atmospheres that correspond to the different times of day and seasons. They are based on fixed, sometimes strict rules, but at the same time leave room for improvisation and are created in free performance in front of the audience.
Whether pensiveness or expectation, longing or passion, melancholy or exuberance – the Long Night of Museums offers the perfect setting to experience different shades of nocturnal moods musically.
