Sebastian Dreyer and Ravi Srinivasan invite audiences on a journey into the world of Indian ragas with the sitar and tabla drums.

Ragas, the foundation of Indian classical music, are complex musical expressions of mood that correspond to different times of day and seasons. They are based on fixed, sometimes strict rules, while at the same time allowing room for improvisation, and are created freely in performance before the audience.

Whether contemplation or anticipation, longing or passion, melancholy or exuberance – the Long Night of Museums provides the perfect setting to experience various shades of nocturnal moods through music.
