Climate change and biodiversity loss are some of the most pressing issues and problems of our time – and we can all help solve them. At the first Future Forum of the Humboldt-Universität and the Joachim Herz Foundation, scientists and citizens will together discuss ideas for a sustainable future. All those who are interested are cordially invited to attend the Future Forum. No prior knowledge is required, and participation is free of charge.

The Future Forum will involve four workshops, in which practical examples will be used to present projects, ideas and approaches to solutions developed by environmental and climate researchers – from environmentally friendly neighbourhood gardens to climate-neutral community or ‘citizen’ energy. In BarCamps, participants will also be able to suggest their own topics and exchange ideas and questions. The results of the workshops and BarCamps will then be summarised and presented at the Future Forum. The Future Forum will end with a joint visit to the exhibition After Nature at the Humboldt Lab in the Humboldt Forum.

The Future Forum will take place on 21st August 2021, from 13:00–17:00 at the Campus Nord of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and from 17:00 onwards at the Humboldt Lab in the Humboldt Forum. All further information on the programme and registration can be found on the Humboldt Lab website.
